The DC Circuit Court recently reversed the conviction of 19 counts against a return preparer when it found that the federal prosecutor committed prosecutorial misconduct during its closing statements.  When you consider the tremendous amount of man hours and resources the government devotes to tax prosecutions and the high percentage of conviction rates, the reversal in  US v. Davis  must be a difficult pill to swallow for the government.   I also imagine the government prosecutor is looking for a new job.  Contact Orange County Tax Lawyers at Wilson Tax Law Group, APLC or 949.397.2292, if you or your client has questions or concerns regarding a Federal or State criminal or civil tax investigation.
